If there is such a thing as foods of the God, it is undoubtedly the biryani. If you’re a biryani love from Lucknow or visiting lucknow ,then the famous and delicious flavours of biryani await you in the below mentioned places.

1. Wahid Biryani

This place has 4 outlets in the city but the one i will be taking is is located near Naaz Cinema Road, Aminabad Market, Aminabad .This is the most famous place in Lucknow to have biryani. they have almost covered all the varieties of mutton and chicken biryani that you could find anywhere in the city.

Below is the ambience of the place. the sitting is not very huge as compared to a restaurant but they can feed 15-20 people at a time.

Now coming to the food they serve.The biryani tastes so good that you would love to have it time and again even though you are filled to the neck.It will surely fulfill your hunger but your temptation for it will remain still. they have a huge variety in serving. Apart from Biryani they also serve chicken masala, chicken kali mirch, butter chicken, chicken do pyaza, chiken afghani, chicken kebab,malai tikka,mutton biryani,Shahi mutton kebab, mutton seekh kebab, mutton do pyaza,plain rice,rumali roti, mutton korma and many other dishes. Review : Not a very pleasant looking place but the quality of food they serve totally compensate their ambience. Had Chicken biryani and chicken roasted. the taste was good and everything was well cooked specially the wings were roasted very well. they also give home delivery which i personally don’t think is a good idea. As the chicken they give may be not freshly prepared. so you may lack the quality.overall its a must visit place.

2. Idrish hotel

This place is located near Raza Bazar, opposite Patanala police Station , Chowk ,Lucknow.One of the best Biryanis ever with succlent mutton pieces and long grain rice. They taste slightly different from other Lucknow joints and food is cooked in roadside condition.

Below is the ambience of this place . As there is no such proper sitting area nor is the parking available. everything is cooked in front of your eyes so the food served is fresh. They hardly paid any attention to cleanliness and hygiene, so not a place worth visiting with families.

It is famous for the Top Dishes it serve such as Mutton biryani, mutton korma, awadhi biryani,lucknowi biryani,chicken korma,dum biryani and yakhni pulao. Mostly they cover only biryani in their menu. Not a very large variety in non-veg.They do sell good stuff But one need to compromise with the ambience.

Review : This is one of the iconic eateries to visit while in Lucknow. Idris biriyani is synonymous with Lucknow biryani. Shop is bit old and bit low on hygiene standards but biriyani is flavorful and keep up the name of the place. Really .its and old shop with limited seating place. A must visit for non veg lovers

3. Muradabadi Chicken Biryani Corner

Out of those under rated places, this place will never dissapoint you if it comes to food. It is located near Talkatora Road, Alambagh Chauraha, Alambagh ,Lucknow.

They have a fine ambience as compared to idrish hotel. the sitting is not very as the area of the shop is limited. but atleast a proper chair and table for comfort and can server 10-15 people at a time.

Does’nt have a variety at all .The only food available is biryani that too chicken .No Mutton Biryani . But the quality is very fine and the cost is also very affordable.

Review : the biryani is so yummy and tempting. probably you will have one of the best muradabadi biryani in town. half is for just Rs 100 and full plate will cost you Rs 200. Not only in Alambagh they have presence almost in entire city. it is obviously much better than biryani in some of the costly restaurants.

4.Tundey Kababi

It is the most famous place for non veg in the entire city. i would have kept it at first being my favourite since years. this place never dissapoints me whatever be the food .everything is so perfect about this place whether it is the ambience , hygiene, cleanliness or the food. all good.

It has a clean and a beautiful ambience. I would say the best among all the biryani restaurants with proper air condition during summers, which lets you enjoy the taste of hot and spicy food even in summers.It does’nt require any introduction if you are somewhere in the city . Just have a look at its beautiful ambience…

The top dishes that you would love to have are Mutton Biryani, Kebab aratha, Chicken Biryani,Mutton Curry, Firni, Mutton Tunday and Kheer. The speciality of this place is that having name Tunday Kababi people make an idea in their minds that it will only serve non-veg. But they have same number of dishes in veg as they have in non-veg. Recently they intoduced some of the veg dishes such as veg. galawti kabab, kadhai paneer, paneer handi, shahi paneer, daal makhni, honey chilli potato, veg. biryani, dal arhar tadka etc..

Review : If you are in Lucknow and you hav’nt visited this place then probably you have missed a lot. this place offers one of the delicious delacacies of kebab that melts in your mouth.Apart from kebabs you can try birynai and kheer which is great. i would also recommend you to have kebab parantha which is super yumm.This place has stood the test of time and it’s really hard to find such kebabs anywhere else in india. This place is highly recommended.

5. Dastarkhwan

This place is one of the most famous place in Lucknow with all sorts of non-veg starters.Don’t get confused with Dastarkhwan and Mughlai Dastarkhwan . Both places are a lot different. Dastarkhwan has two outlets in Lucknow and both of them are in Keisarbagh.

The Prices of food at this place are a bit on the higher side but you will never mind that once you will be intoduced to its high quality ambience.

The Quality of food is great. the Quantity is also suffient as per prices. Food is tasty , fresh and mindblowingly delightful. You will not find a better than this to have authentic biryanis and kebabs. all the items are very well presented and the service is excellent. Some of the top Dishes Available here are Chicken Masala, Galauti kebab, Paratha, Butter Chicken, Chicken Biryani, Murgh Kalimirch and Boti Kebab. The cost of food is on a higher side as compared to other restaurants but the quality and taste is worth having it. you will not regret any charges after having food here.

Review : high quality ambience with a beautiful dining area. It gives a feeling of Nawab in the city of nawabs. the service is very quick and efficient.The food taste heavenly. This place deserves a top position among many of the restaurants in Lucknow.The most common dishes people try here are galhwati kebab and shami kebab. these are the most tried and tastiest dishes served here.
